For those visiting our veterinary hospital, main branch, on Goldington Road:
You may now enter the waiting room at Bedford, to notify us of your arrival, if you wish. We have a one way system in place and our team remain behind protective screens.
You are still required to wear a mask and remain socially distanced when in the waiting room. We are not currently permitting anyone to be seated in the waiting room and ask that no more than 4 clients wait inside at any time. You may also continue to text the number given at the time of booking, to notify us of your arrival, if you prefer.
Our aim is to keep the risk of COVID-19 as low as possible to protect our Veterinary team so that we can continue to be here for you and your pets. Please do not enter the premises if you are symptomatic or live in a household with someone who has tested positive.
Please call our team before coming in, if you are at all unsure.
As you may be aware, the way we carry out a consultation is a little different. Your pets are usually examined without you present and the vet may speak with you outside (at Wixams) or by phone (Bedford/Sharnbrook) to gather a history and to present their findings or recommendations, depending on the reason for your visit.
Rest assured, our team will dispense lots of cuddles and tasty treats (where appropriate). The vast majority of animals have fortunately still been very happy to come in and see us on their own and for those a little more reluctant, we will work with you and them, to ensure they feel safe and secure.
These precautions have enabled our teams to continue to be there for you and your pets this whole time. Providing we can all follow these safety precautions; we will continue to be there when you need us.
The past year has been incredibly challenging and we are aware things sometimes take a little longer. Your patience and understanding is appreciated. Thank you so much for your continued support .
Updates will be posted on our website and social media pages.
